Explanation of Course Structure
LCST: Live instruction available (but not required) at Claremont School of Theology
ASL: Live instruction courses can additionally be offered in the Asynchronous Learning model which gives students the option (but not the requirement) of attending the course online at the same time of instruction or at anytime during the week such that they meet the weekly requirements in the syllabus. Instructors provide materials, lectures, tests, and assignments throughout the course.
SAL: Self-paced Asynchronous Learning classes are those where instructors provide materials, lectures, tests, and assignments that can be accessed at any time throughout the semester. Students must complete all the requirements in the syllabus at their pace but no later than the end of the semester.
Study Abroad: Some of our courses are offered as study abroad courses and are a blend of in person study and self study, as well as traveling as a group to various locations.
