Congratulations Class of 2019!

ACTS celebrated its third graduating class on Saturday May 18th, 2019, bringing together students, clergy and Coptic families from across the United States to celebrate.

The Nixon Library room was full and expectant as the graduates took their seats, joined by His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, His Grace Bishop Kyrillos and the keynote speaker, Dr. Lofty Basta. The weight of the occasion was clear in each speech directed to the graduates, as the dignitaries present not only congratulated them for the significant work they accomplished but also reminded them of the responsibility to use this new-found knowledge for the betterment of the communities around them and the wider Coptic diaspora. This message was similarly received, evident in through the student speaker and Valedictorian Luke Soliman’s speech, reminding his classmates that “today is celebration less so for the work we have accomplished, and more so about the future work we are called to accomplish, by His Grace…I hope we can always be keenly aware of the momentous period we are living in and that we take heed of our responsibility to bring it to its fullness.”

My God bless the work of this class, both past and future, to continue to create an impact in our communities. Congratulations!
